Haryana, today, became the 8th state to pass the GST legislation

With this, 8 states have passed respective state legislation to facilitate GST in less than a month after parliament passed the legislations. The remaining states are expected to pass the bill before the end of this month as the government races to meet the July 1 rollout deadline. The next GST Council meet is scheduled to be held on the May 18 and May 19.
