Fake GST registrations found in ‘evasion-prone’ commodities

Across nearly a dozen commodities that have been considered evasion-prone, the Commercial Taxes Department has found out 285 newly registered taxpayers having obtained GST registrations fictitiously by submitting false or fabricated documents in the past four months alone.
